....There.

I was waken up by the loud THUMPPPPP! sound, I thought we were having accident. The driver in his long-sleeve shit sat straighten up, eyes set on the road, as if nothing's happened.
I looked around, nothing's strikingly new or any damage.
Then he driver spoke to his assistant,"Come and sit down here," in a fatherly tone,"here."
He said no. No.
Then when his assistant (we call it Kernek here) fell asleep at the seat in front of me, I figured out that it was him who fell onto the front door of the bus. Man! it was a real loud noise. LOL

Now, talking about this seemed to be a cold-blooded driver (hehehe i know, what an expression!) he drives very well that I had a hard time swallowing my anxiety: he drives like a high-skill racing maniac! Some trucks were only a very few inches to crush us at the U turns. Oh sorry forgot telling you that I was assigned to the seat numero uno which is facing the front door. A middle-aged lady (I called her lady because she was such a nice polite loving woman) with her grand daughter, two or three-year-old shy girl. We had to share the two seats for three of us, which I didnt mind, especially when I noticed this little girl really behaved. She talked in her cute tiny voice, in polite tone, and ends her sentence like everything was in a question mark. Cute. I expected to hear cry or more noise from her, but she simply slept, asked for drink, slept, wake up, no noise. And she was still shy when I smiled at her during our bus stops. The bus stop twice, once in Siantar city, when we were trying to talk on the phone but didnt work cuz the signal was a nightmare. LOL and the second stop was in Tarutung, the last city before we enter Sibolga. We usually arrive in Tarutung cold-land city at 3 am and take a bit longer break because nobody wants to arrive in Sibolga at 5 am, no bus nor taxi at that time.

"Stop here," i said as the bus was at the carrefour closes to our house. I took my little blue bag and decided to walk home, gave my NO smiles at becak drivers along he way. I walked passed few morning joggers, mostly Chinese people. Much fewer than I remember.

You know what, it took a strong lung to get to the house. It's like a stairway to heaven; the broken cemented pathways to our house which stands at the foot of a mountain. I managed my breath first before I called out for my sisters whose bedroom beside the front door and living room. But it was mom who showed up first, opened up the door and hugged me. SHe looked smaller and as I've noticed from most of my big family and neighbors: thinner.
She smelled of kerosene,"I'm fixing the 'Kompor' in the kicthen," she said. Renata and Nenny showed up in their oversized clothes, no, they're not their Pyjamas, they're their at-home clothes. As if the clothes giving out the wors look of both of them. Hehehe No, they're beautiful-at-heart ladies. And I'm saying my God-give-them-good-husbands-please-now?! prayers everytime I meet them or depart from them.

So, here are some updates:
The dog gave birth but all babies died
one of the momma pig has babies, two/three died, she bette keep the rest alive and grow up well! LOL
the Drought season has started. Water becomes an issue.
People, i mean, every one, like, Auntie, Uncle, everyone said, "I'm broke" to my how-are-you-doing?
ANd they're very accustomed to "Global Economic Downturn," as if it were the new mantra of the years to come. @_@
The last update (I can't help it): the momma dog looks terrible! She's has hair-lost issues and thin. I guess she has a lot of worms, too, and fleas. Not like dogs we'd had before.

I took mom and aunties to the bus terminal this morning. They left for the Late Grandpa's hometown (in Batak Grandpa is Ompung)

I will leave for Medan tonite at 8 and be there first in the morning tomorrow.
Everything's fine, both of my sisters at their works; Renata, the elder, in the Suzuki Motor shop. Nenny at the Cake'nBakery shop. Their works are only separated by this small two-way road close to the bus terminal.

Now I need to go home, cook the pigs food which will lats for two days. And I'm starving, need to relish this hunger for food. LOL
